New Year,
Tis a new year so I decided to start using this site, as a way of shouting into the void. I turned sixty this past July and like a car out of warranty, I started breaking down all over the place! I am currently in the process of getting dentures, getting some long dormant PTSD treated and in general all around repairs. I look in the mirror and see some steamer bag sized bags under my eyes and remember fondly what a good night sleep was.
The biggest thing I seem to miss is kindness to one another. There was a time we all at least TRIED to be kind to one another. Seems now our government, corporations and even religion is trying to separate and isolate us, to make us vulnerable in our loneliness. This is not a good thing. By working together and just being kind we can rise to great heights.
One of the scariest and depressing things I am seeing, is seems like we are turning into a fascist country with a dictator running it. We have the modern day equivalent of both brown shirts and secret police running freely in our cities and towns, grabbing people in the name of “security” and flat out killing others for resisting. Our nation and society was built on due process and liberty and justice for all, we have stumbled quite a bit in trying to achieve that. But now it seems as though we have fallen flat and a ice agent is going to shoot it in the head.
How did we get to this point? How did we go from the land of opportunity to If you weren’t born here, you need not apply? There are lots of people who say they are experts throwing out all sorts of reasons, some may actually be valid, all I know is if someone says they are an expert, it just means they can spew bullshit faster.
I dont have any answers, I can watch and give my opinion and if necessary act to prevent harm to my family and others who have done no wrong. I can spout on here and if you have an opinion I will be happy to hear it. If it’s some of the political BS I have been hearing and seeing I will disagree with you and then block you. My board, my rules. Deal with it.
